NASA chief principal Raila Odinga has come out to urge his supporters to boycott the Saturday,October 28,repeat poll.
Raila however asked his supporters to remain peaceful even as they boycott the poll.The opposition leader urged his supporters not to take to the roads in protest on Saturday,October 28, as witnessed in a number of NASA strongholds.
As reported by TUKO.co.ke earlier,IEBC postponed presidential election in Raila Odinga's strongholds after the Thursday,October 27, repeat poll was disrupted by his supporters.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati announced that election in Kisumu, Siaya, Migori and Homa Bay counties would be held on Saturday, October 28.
Counteracting IEBC's directive,Raila Odinga in an interview with a local radio station asked his supporters to stay away from the repeat poll in parts of Nyanza. Raila told his supporters that there is no need for protests.
The opposition leader also picked an issue with IEBC who he accused of ethnic profiling.Raila asked the electoral commission to contend with zero votes since no voting took place in more areas.
''Repeating poll in 4 Luo Nyanza counties is ethnic profiling, no voting took place in many more areas, contend with zero vote.''Raila said.
Raila wrapped up the interview by asking supporters to keep calm and wait for communication on way forward soon.NASA supporters had earlier on claimed that they are waiting and preparing for a real repeat election in 90 days.
