The ‘Scrotum Sack’ is a brown calfskin leather bag designed and worn by the Turner Prize winning Grayson Perry.
Ballsy Mr Perry is a Chelmsford-born artist and as a young new romantic in the early Eighties hung out with the Blitz Kids.
The 53-year-old, who is also known for his cross-dressing, showcased the sack-chel during a Channel 4 documentary on the Liberty of London department store earlier this week.
The flamboyant personality had commissioned leather maker Andy Bates to bring his design to life, to mould it into two testicles with a hanging penis complete with bottom.
Mr Bates, who is based in Northumberland, has refused to make a second despite the massive interest that has been garnered in the piece.
‘Firstly I had to carve a wooden former and then soak hand-dyed, bark-tanned calfskin in water so that it became malleable and could be moulded around the oaken testicles, a technique which is centuries old.
