TUKO.co.ke has learnt that a number of ODM politicians have been summoned by the party’s disciplinary committee over rising cases of violent scenes in campaigns.
The politicians have been summoned over violent scenes that marred ODM rallies in Migori on Monday, April 2, 2017,Ruaraka on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 and Mathare.
The Migori chaos was sparked by Supporters of Migori Governor Okoth Obado who engaged in running battles with Suna East MP Junet Mohammed Supporters.
Hassan Joho's bodyguard was shot in the leg and rushed to hospital on that day.
Okoth Obado latter accused Joho of visiting his county without informing him yet he was about to endorse a rival.
A number of people were injured during the fracas that took police’s intervention to subdue.

However,on Tuesday, April 3 2017, both Obado and Joho were summoned to Raila Odinga’s office where they promised to work together despite the bewildering chaos witnessed in Migori.
According to reports reaching TUKO.co.ke, Mombasa governor Hassan Joho, Okoth Obado, James Orengo, Anyang Nyong’o, Mohamed Junet and TJ Kajwang are required to present themselves before the committee to help in pursuing investigations over the Migori violence.
TUKO.co.ke has been informed that the committee has summoned 12 politicians who were involved in Migori, Mathare and Ruaraka ODM rally chaos.
ODM politicians are expected to appear before the committee in person on Monday, April 10, 2017.
