F1 star makes incredible £15,000 donation to teen F4 racer who lost both legs in crash

AN F1 star has donated £15,000 to teen F4 driver Billy Monger who lost both his legs in a horror crash.

World champion Jenson Button forked out the cash on a JustGiving page set up to raise money for the 17-year-old star.

McLaren-Honda’s semi-retired third driver made the donation as thousands of people from across Britain and the racing community pledged to help – with the total now over £350,000.

There have been nearly 9000 donations so far to help Billy when he comes out of hospital.

He was trapped in the car for 90 minutes while paramedics from the air ambulance worked to save him.

The 2009 F1 champ Button wrote: “Embrace the love from your family and friends during this tough time in your life, get well soon buddy.”
