Boniface Mwangi, an award winning photojournalist and a social-political activist, has today (12th August 2017) said that he will pull down all his campaign posters. Mr Boniface who was in a race for the Starehe Constituency MP, conceded defeat after Charles Njagua aka Jaguar, a popular Kenyan musician, took a commanding lead and won the race. Do you think Boniface Mwangi's move to remove his campaign posters is commendable?
“Our campaign proved that our country is yearning for change and our people are ready for a different kind of politics,” said Mwangi in a concession message posted on Facebook early Wednesday. “It gives me hope that in 2022, matters of tribe and political party allegiance will no longer be a big deal, as long as you run on issues. The people of Starehe have spoken and I respect their decision,” said Mwangi.
Boniface Mwangi has urged his supporters to meet him at their campaign office to help him remove all his campaign posters at 11am, 12 August.
