AFC Leopards coach Robert Matano has explained why he substituted midfielder Allan Kateregga on Sunday.

The Ugandan ace came on as a second half substitute but was withdrawn again in the 88th minute and replaced by Andrew Tololwa. The decision did not go down well with the player, who caused a scuffle with the coach at the touchline.

"Kateregga was a non-performer and his passes were inaccurate and I had to make a decision to replace him," Matano told the official KPL website.

Speaking on the latest defeat that leaves Ingwe lying 13th on the league table, Matano said, “This is a very bad feeling for me because we had a share of good chances but wasted them."

Abdalla Hassan's strike was enough to sink Ingwe and hand coach Paul Nkata led Bandari maximum points during the duel at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
